Starting Out Missie and I had misunderstanding of the following verses:
EPH 5:22-25 - 22 Wives, submit to your own husbands as to the Lord, 23 for the husband is head of the wife as also Christ is head of the church. He is the Savior of the body. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so wives should [submit] to their husbands in everything. 25 Husbands, love your wives, just as also Christ loved the church and gave Himself for her, (Holman Christian Standard)
EPH 5:22-25 - 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the savior of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it (King James)
Wives: This does not intend for the wife to make the husband dominate over her. Rather be submissive to him in his role as HOH.
Husbands: Love you Wife, do things that make her want to submit to You. Avoid things that break trust as much as you can. Take the lead as HOH as your biblical role. Make it to where you can go to Christ in heaven and say to Him “My lord I know Her and she knows you, I take responsibility for her sins” as Christ will tell the father that he knows you. At times this will mean that she will need loving correction.
